Description: This is an original Ruth Stein hand made pottery vase. About 6" tall with a beautiful asian inspired glaze. As inscribed on the base, it was made for Diane Love. During the 70s, Love ran a home design store which was unique at the time, with many product lines from jewelry, furnishing and accessories. Ruth Stein manufactured the pottery for her store, some of which Diane Love was able to have manufacture in Japan by Mikasa under her label. There are some "mikasa for Diane Love" vases that look just like Ruth Stein's work so I am sure she was the originator of this asian style look for the Diane Love stores.
