After leaving Los Angeles for Nashville in the early 1970's, Bowen revolutionized the way music was recorded in Nashville and helped launch the careers of Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba McEntire and Hank Williams Jr.. among others. Although Sandy Sims is not a household name, her late 1970's album features classic pop tunes from a wide array of writers and displays unique production qualities that would become the trademark sound of a very successful producer.
