Description: For sale is a 7 inch 45 RPM vinyl single from Sandy Stewart titled "My Coloring Book b/w I Heard You Cried Last Night", originally released in 1962 by Colpix Records, manufactured abd distributed by Columbia Records. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for 45 RPM singles, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The original inner sleeve cover is graded between Good and Good Plus because of wrinkles and stains along the opening, corner blunts, foxing and ink writing. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks, is etched "R", along with a machine stamped "Bell Sound" in italics, followed by the matrix numbers 1-A/1-A, indicating that this record was mastered at Bell Sound Studios of New York City, New York, before the first stampers were used to make this first edition at RCA Record's pressing plant, located in Rockaway, New Jersey. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of a few sleeve marks. I'm play grading this record between Good (Side One) and Very Good (Side Two) because of continuous low level pops and ticking, along with background noise, none of which over-powers the vocal or the music. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially a Rockaway pressing. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
