Description: Up for your consideration is an incredibly scarce copy of the first edition of Stephen Powers’ 1887 book “The American Merino”. This obscure antiquarian volume has been recently digitized and reprinted. Very nice time capsule of early American agriculture. The book is in good condition. The spine and front board have been archivally repaired. They had come loose from the pageblock. There is a former owner inscription on the ffep, and some child scribbling to the third to last page. The spine has some warping and fraying, and some of the pages have some staining and fixing. Overall nice, attractive copy of a most unusual and hard to find title. Sold as is!
