Scarce NM 1955 Bing Crosby Merry Christmas LP Decca DL 8128 / 1st Pressing Label

Description: This is a Rare Vintage 1955 Bing Crosby classic LP Record “Merry Christmas”, featuring the unforgettable song “White Christmas”. The enigma of this record is that the disc & cover are from a 1st pressing 1955, while the insert is from circa 1958. Apparently this is a Repackaging of the original record, using the original disc & cover. This oddity is original, as I own 2 copies of the exact same record, with the exact same insert. The 33 1/3 Long Play record is Decca DL-8128 , and includes 12 tracks. The record comes with a clear plastic inner sleeve, and a RARE separate insert sheet with other Decca albums on it. The insert sheet says on one side “Bring Along this Handy Reminder the Next Time You Visit Your Decca Record Dealer”. The impressed numbers in the dead wax areas of the record are “1P / MG4087T32” & “1P / MG4088T20”. The black label has the alternate number below the DL 8128 number, that reads “MG 4087”, in small print, with No parentheses. Same as the 1st pressing release. The record is in Near Mint condition, with only extremely minor play wear. The cover is in Near Mint condition, with only extremely minor wear in one corner, and what appears to be a short scratch in the blank space just to the left of Bing’s head. This is only visible when you hold the cover so there is a shine on it, and I think is a factory imperfection. The cover is also Nice & White! The insert is also in Near Mint condition.
