Description: I found this recently at the estate of an old English Literature Professor.. He was a big fan of Tolkien's LORD OF THE RINGS and had lots of interesting related ephemera. other posters, records, and books I shall list shortly...( so check my upcoming listings if you are so inclined). THIS LISTING IS FOR A VERY SCARCE ORIGINAL 1960's "PERSONALITY" POSTER OF J.R.R. TOLKIEN. the Photograph is by Roger Hill. This was most likely produced in 1967 or 1968. made for dorm rooms and most likely hung next similar ones of Mick Jagger, Brigitte Bardo, Bob Dylan, Timothy Leary, or Angela Davis. measures 22" x 27 3/4" condition : some light wear to edges, and corners, some creases, top left corner torn( see photo). in "as found" condition, it will look great when properly mounted and framed.
