This is a solution for dial indicators for precision lathes like Habegger JH 102 and Schaublin 102. Our shoulder washer gives support for a 3/4" (.750) rod which you drill and tap to 3/8" X 16 with a T-Nut and 1" all thread 3/8" x 16 are able to use common mill vise stops to create all sort of ways to measure your work. The shoulder will be snug so you can keep the rod from pivoting and damaging the lathe T-Slots. We machine it out of aluminum and will offer various rods already threaded with T-Nuts on a different listing. Probably will make a brass version as well since brass is beautiful. When considering other diameters which are usually smaller as most indicators have the flexing was an issue and with the .750 diameter rods it is far better. Now this is based on my work with making precision bearings and someone might not need that sort of rigidity. Also note once you start using this there will be countless jigs that you can set up for your various projects. This solution is very flexible and you might already have the mill vise stops and just need the washer. Yes you can make this however the idea alone is worth the price we are asking.
