Description: This incredible piece was made by Edwin and Mary Scheier, well-known mid-century studio potters. If you Google their name, an excellent bio of the pair from the website Incollect comes up. A fascinating life they both led. This piece is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks but a tiny flea bite on the inside rim. There is their wonderful sgrafitto (incised) designing, often reflecting a Biblical theme, tho' neither were religious. It measures 7 1/4" in diameter by 1" tall.
