Rumors were circulating then that Schrade was being purchased by Imperial and I was anxious to own a genuine Schrade before it happened. Now it's time to go, as with all the others in my collection. Specs are above; blades fresh from the factory, I'm pretty sure all Schrades are stainless steel, no breaks on handles, frame is solid, cavity is clean, blades have just the right tension, brass frame and bolsters are clean and shiny. A handsome knife made by the originator of the George Schrade Company. George soon made the first American switchblade, sold his company and started a new one to sell the switchblades.
