SECRET OF NIMH Original Background & 2 Animation Cels / Mrs. Brisby and Jeremy!!

It is a rare occurrence to have an original master background painting from a vintage animated movie like 1982’s “The Secret of NIMH”. I wasn’t able to find the exact animation cel that was used on top of the background painting of the log, but I think the ones I did find look great with it. The scenes they are both from happen near the beginning of the film after Mrs. Brisby the mouse has been to see Mr. Ages the rat to get medicine for her son Timmy. Mrs. Brisby meets Jeremy the crow on top of a hollow log and helps him get free of the red string he is tangled up in. I have included two screenshots from the movie to show exactly where the background and cels are from (see last 2 photos). The 1st screenshot shows the scene where the cels of Jeremy and Mrs. Brisby were used and the 2nd screenshot shows where the background painting was used. The two cels are smaller than the background so, when framing these, the sides of the background will have to be matted over. The background painting measures 13 3/8 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall and each cel measures 12.5 x 10.5 inches. The one round and 2 long holes at the bottom of the cels and background are called registration holes and are used to make sure everything lines up correctly when being photographed. A seal of authenticity and painted copyright line have been added to the Mrs. Brisby cel. 3 certificates of authenticity are included from the trusted companies I bought these from.
