His legs are attached to the edge of the blanket in strips, then tied. He has a rattle in his head. He is attached to an olive green blanket, which is round, and has three sections: the one closest to the Caterpillar's head and the one at the edge are both solid olive green velour. The one section in the center is a ribbed "narrow wale" (ask your grandmother) corduroy-like fabric. It is backed with green satin type fabric.
