He holds it under certain conditions, and when these conditions have been fulfilled he will be undisputed owner of his home. By that time, probably, his industry will have allowed him to construct a building of more ample dimensions and of a more convenient kind than the little "hut" in which his first years of yard work must needs be spent. In some cases these years of probation have been very few, and Colonists have risen with extraordinary rapidity from the humblest positions to wealth and station.
