He was born on October 23, 1931 in Havana, In 1961 he founded the Pálpite Editions (Havana) In 1964 he moved to Bulgaria, where he lived for two years with the aim of knowing the Bulgarian language and literature. That same year (1964) he co-founded the Belic Publishing House.
