Description: Bareuther & Company -- Porcelain 11" inch Peach Round Platter/ Chop Plate - discontinued Bavaria, Germany EUC MINT Bareuther & Co. has been making fine quality porcelain since 1866 under various names and became one of the biggest Porcelain Employers in Germany throughout the 1900's until it's closing in the 1990's. This platter is part of a pattern featuring hand painted fruits and nuts in lovely shades of gold, red and brown on an ivory/ white background with gold rimmed edges. The plate was manufactured in the late 1960's in Waldsassen a small town in Bavaria, Germany. This platter is also known as a Chop plate and is 11.5" inches wide, yet the company sites it as an 11" inch Platter. The markings on the back emphasize the company and place of manufacture.
