Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is a set of eleven (11) gorgeous Limoges cobalt blue and gold luncheon plates by Theodore Haviland of France. They are hand painted with a gold cartouche in the center surrounded by an elegant undulating lace-like pattern. These were imported by the Van Heusen-Charles company of Albany, NY owned by Charles Van Heusen who was friends Theodore Roosevelt. It is said that Van Heusen supplied some china to the White House. Measuring 8 5/8" in diameter, they are in beautiful condition except for some gold loss to the center cartouche on some of them. There are no chips or cracks and little to no utensil marks. When tapped, each plate rings like a bell. Please view all photos to see each plate's condition. Thank you!
