Description: Maker: On the reverse of this lovely set of 7 coupe soup bowls are two back stamps. The first is the green white ware mark of the classic maker Vignaud Frères, which produced high quality porcelain in Limoges between 1911 and 1938. A brown decorator's mark confirms that the set was produced for Gimbels, the iconic New York department store. Design: A red band with cartouches of blue and yellow flowers outlines a center of pure white porcelain. Replacements.com calls this pattern VIG110. Size: The bowls are 7 1/2 inches wide, 1 1/2 inches tall and together weigh 3 pounds 14 ounces. Condition: There are no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, scratches, repairs or crazing. There is significant wear to the gold edges - it's shown in the photos. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
