He is the son of the great Living National Treasure Shoji Hamada who co- founded the Mingei Folk Art movement. He is part of a very significant lineage. The box for this kogo is signed & sealed by the artist. This box was purchased at a notable Boston gallery. The box measures 2” X 2” in diameter & 1 1/2” in height. No chips cracks or repairs-excellent condition
