Description: Shlomo Zipman (Tsipman) (Israeli, 1905-1989) Beautiful Avant-Garde Oil Painting Shlomo Zipman, Israeli, born in the Russian Empire, 1905-1989.Shlomo Zipman was born in the Jewish colony of Ingoltz, Russian Empire, in 1905 in a Zionist family. In 1912 the family immigrated to Israel. After about a year, the father returned to Russia. During the First World War, Zipman was deported with his mother and followed him to Egypt. After that, the family returned to the Soviet Union and was reunited with the father of the family. In 1921 they immigrated a second time and settled in the city of Ganim (later Ramat Gan). In 1923 the family moved to Merhaviya. Between the years 1924-1934 Shipman served as an immigrant guide and lived in several places such as Ra'anana, Nes Ziona and more. Between the years 1934-1945 he lived in Kfar Hess. At that time he joined the Haganah organization, served as secretary of the Tel-Mond bloc and secretary of the Tel-Mond Workers' Council. In 1945 he returned to live in Ramat Gan and held various positions in the Hapoalim Council and Mapai. Between the years 1952-1955 he served as director of several crossings for immigrants in the Or Yehuda area.The main part of Tzipman's work was created starting from the 40s of the 20th century and especially after his retirement. His paintings are characterized by a naive style and contain descriptions of landscapes, descriptions of his childhood and portraits. In 1981 his book "Ali-Derech" was published.
