Description: SIGNED 1954 RARE PHOTO SHERRY LEHMANN EXECUTIVES AT "21" CLUB - $60K APPRAISAL VALUE ITEM DESCRIPTION: Here's a very unusual and unique piece from the oldest wine company in New York. The photograph is 14" inches x 10.5" inches and the frame is 17" inches x 14" inches. This appears to be an original one-of-a-kind photograph of key figures/ executive officers of the 'Sherry Lehmann, Wine and Spirit Company.' This photograph is dated January 1954: the year the company moved into it's new premises! This move to 18 East 62nd Street, marked the great growth and expansion of the company. this is a rare picture; It appears to be one of a kind. The five executives are pictured there in front of a beautifully painted portrait. It is signed by Sheldon, Pete (brother), Jerry, Bob, and Mae (from left to right). The messages read: "To Jack, with sincere good regards, Sheldon, To Jack Best regards Pete, To Jack whose good nature is unsurpassed Jerry, For Jack - from one of his admirers - Sincerely Bob, Jack- good luck + best forever. Mae, Jan. 1954." This appears to be taken at the "21" Club. The group likely went to celebrate at the New York City Speakeasy. One-of-a-kind piece, it's worthy of being exhibited in the Wine Hall of Fame, if there was such a thing. Full-color photograph, original photograph, all signed in what appears to be white ink fountain pen. This is extraordinarily rare. The people photographed are probably Peter Aaron, Jack's brother, who helped grow the store's reputation, Jerry Hart who was involved in day-to- day operations and decision processes, Bob Lehmann was a founding family member so likely involved in management and operations. Also not pictured but signed, Mae Schoonmaker was involved in wine selection and importation. The portrait depicts Jack Kriendler the founder of the "21" Club, to the left of the portrait may be Jack Aaron himself. Not only is this historic one-of-a-kind item, it came from the archives of the Sherry Lehman Company that we bought the contents of.
