Description: Up for sale is an original typed letter from the letterhead of The Supreme Court of the United States, Washington, D.C., from Justice Lewis F. Powell, Jr. to Mr. Clifford Evans, dated March 10, 1981. Original signature of Justice Powell, signed, "Lewis Powell". Clifford Evans was vice president and Washington news bureau director of the RKO General Broadcasting Corporation. Lewis Franklin Powell Jr. (September 19, 1907 – August 25, 1998) was an American lawyer and jurist who served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1971 to 1987. Letter 1 is approximately 8" x 11". Overall, it is in Good condition. Some spotting along the fold lines and age related toning/browning. Folds from when it was originally folded and mailed.
