It has been authenticated by Julien's in 2005 and PSA/DNA in 2024. This was the second auction of Marilyn’s personal items by Anna Strasberg following one at Christie’s in 1999. All items for both auctions were consigned by Anna Strasberg , the widow and third wife of Lee Strasberg , the founder of the Actors Studio in New York who Marilyn had left all of her personal effects in her Will.
