Description: Very jazzy screw-back earrings (could easily be changed to posts) in sterling and ebony by renowned modernist jeweler Peggy Miller, Baltimore, 50's and 60's. As you can tell from the photo of the back, these were very tarnished. I polished them up because her work has that kind of hard-edged simplicity, much like Betty Cooke, that lends itself to a shine. They could certainly be polished even more, but I will leave that up to the buyer. They measure 1" across at their widest. The ebony is held on by three sterling rivets. Very good vintage condition. Check pics as they are part of the description. Follow me or check back often as I am in the process of liquidating my vast collection of mid-century and modernist furnishings, listing new stuff almost daily.
