Description: Signed true first (UK) edition of Titus Alone by Mervyn Peake (Eyre & Spottiswoode, 1959). Book three in the gothic fantasy series, Gormenghast. Jacket is protected in mylar sleeve but with some fading/tanning, chipping around the edges and tear to top left corner of front cover. Some fading and liquid staining to boards, mostly limited to bottom corners and spine end. Water damage to jacket as well, mostly visible only on interior. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Other than author’s inscription and small area of red staining from liquid exposure on bottom edge of text block, all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
