Description: This is my last and finest rug. It has been hanging inside, out of direct sunlight, for over 50 years. It was cleaned and appraised in 1981. It hangs in a non-smoking home. At 420 knots per square inch, hand made in silk, you will not see another one like this. Only once did someone recognize what this was: my friends sister was a United Airlines international flight attendant. They came over to visit; she walked right to my rug, felt it, flipped over a piece to see the knotting, and said, "very very nice". No one else has ever recognized the age, value and quality of this rug. My grandfather collected this, and it has been handed down from my Mom to me. My 40 year old kids don't have a clue to this cultural collectible. So this is my last rug. It is listed at the 1981 appraised value. (Includes hanging bar and brackets as shown.)
