Description: Silvio Bicchi's career as an artist began in Egypt where he resided with his family from 1929 until 1962. During his career he tested various techniques on the basis of its interests. He inherited the business from his father Ottorino Bicchi and uncle Silvio Bicchi both students of Giovanni Fattori, a member of the Macchiaioli movement. They both became professors at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and were considered Post-Macchiaioli in their artistic expression. Silvio Bicchi was born in Rimini in 1920, the city where his father moved to from Florence and where he married Armida Carradori.
