An onlooker would probably not mistake them for totally new shoes. However, they are not too far off the mark. In the very least they look like gently used shoes that were well taken care of. Close examination reveals that the surfaces are clean with some friction on the uppers at the toe areas. This friction has served to lighten the color slightly there (at the toe areas). It will not hurt a thing, just a minor cosmetic shortcoming, and mentioned simply for full disclosure. The insides are also clean and the wear on the bottoms is mild, starting to approach moderate at the corners of the heels. Overall these shoes are excellent and fit well the definition of a gently used item. The canvas uppers appear to be medium gray in color. The tags behind the tongues have a color code of "BLK" for black. Each person can look at the images and decide for themselves if they think the color is gray or black. The Skechers "S" is featured on the rear outer side of each. The laces are not the traditional kind that must be tied but rather stretch laces which keep a mild but constant tension. They are tied off at their ends (as made) and thus these examples are the pull-on variety. Original padded insoles inside. Very lightweight with a grip pattern on the bottoms to prevent slippage. This model seems to be a hybrid between athletic shoes and casual shoes. In the end they are mostly casual shoes. The size is youth two which will likely be worn by an eight to twelve year old.
