Description: Skinner 8" 3-Jaw Lathe Chuck K3908-L1-40 W/Key. Please take a look at all pictures to determine the condition for yourself. You'll also note that while this is an L1 taper chuck, it looks like someone has milled off the threaded section. The taper and keyway are still there, and it fits great on my L1 lathe spindle. I have no idea why someone would do this, especially since there's no other hole pattern or anything to utilize. Maybe a project that was in the works? Either way, consider this a flat back chuck as there is no way to actually hold this onto an L1 spindle. As far as the chuck goes, it operates smoothly and doesn't appear to have anything wrong with it. The jaw faces look good, tiny little marks but nothing worth talking about in my opinion.
