Description: Unusually small hammered copper vase with bulb shaped ribbed body and long flaring mouth. Made in Santa Clara del Cobre in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. Small pieces are especially challenging to hammer: labor intensive copper hammering technique starts with a single lump of copper that is hammered into a desired shape, so there are no seams or joinery on the piece. Beautifully made in Arts and Crafts style, elegant shape, great patina, in excellent condition without any dents. Height 2.25 inches.
