Additional pieces could be sold at a discounted price! I find it handy to have extras, not, only, in case of breakage (God forbid), but in a pattern which may be hard to find (& at these prices!)! Also, I use plates as liners under my fruit pedestal bowl as well as my coffee cup tree! The border shows & coordinates with any pieces which may be out!
