Description: This ring is part of the Pop Art line and is called Carre. The Pop Art line was created by Sobral to represent the passage of Modernity into Post Modernity in the Western culture. This ring is the rare orange Programado version. It features a multi color stripe in orange, gray, plum and white. The face measures 1.125" wide, from the back of the band to the face is 1.5" and it is a size 8. This is part of a huge purchase from the Paris vintage inventory. I purchased whatever they had from the Programado line so I do have this ring in other colors plus many, many, many other items. The first United Nations Conference to address environmental degradation was held in Stockholm in 1972. Already at that time the designer Carlos Sobral was working with resin and creating new techniques and alternative products to reuse all the raw material he consumed in the production of his collections. All Sobral production strictly follows the current environmental standards; however, Sobral goes further by putting into practice the zero disposal of raw material. In addition, Sobral jewelry protects fauna and flora when it replaces what would be made from scarce materials impacting the environment such as ivory, turtle, precious stones, metals, woods and etc..
