All official commemorative coins in the "Shapes of Australia" were minted from 1 ounce of the purest silver (999/1000) in the high Prooflike quality and the impressive diameter of 50 millimeters. The differently sized sections of the animals were compensated for by the respective thickness of the relief. The coins are high-relief, although not to the extreme level seen on some other series.
