Song Dynasty (960-1279) Chinese Celadon Glaze Quingbai Lotus Motif Bowl #1884

Description: I will declare I am not an expert. I collect and sell British Studio pottery. Occasionally I buy lots at auction which contain not just Studio pottery but a variety of different ceramic items. This bowl was part of a lot featuring mainly Chinese Song pieces and some Studio pottery. I have researched this piece myself and asked different people on Facebook sites I also contacted an expert. The opinion was conclusive in that it was Chinese Song dynasty, an authentic Quingbai bowl with combed and carved lotus decoration. Possibly Southern Song from Jianning Kiln in Fujian. But I just wouldn’t know! It is in generally good condition for its age of probably 1000 years BUT it does have some damage - chips to the foot rim (as photographs). The only other impediment is there are some tiny flecks of porcelain included in the glaze as photographs. Measures 16 cm rim diameter and 6cm tall. Value is much harder for me to assess and I would hope that anyone purchasing the item would know or have a much more informed idea than I currently have.
