Description: Item Description/SpecificationsI plugged this unit in, and it powers on just fine. However, the Rewind, Play and Fast Forward buttons seem to be stuck and do not depress. Only the Eject and Stop buttons depress, and the Eject function does work properly. I inserted a Betamax tape into the player, and while the tape spoolers did start to work, the Play button would not work. When I removed the tape from the player with the Eject button, the tape bay waited a moment to spool down before opening. The tape was slightly disjointed and off-center, but I do not know if this is normal or if it points to a bigger problem. I do not have any external speakers to include with this unit. I am not an expert on Betamax players. The problem may be a simple jam somewhere, or it may be worse.
