Harness was attached by me using wiring clips and can be cut off.- According to Crutchfield's website https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120701761/Metra-70-1761-Receiver-Wiring-Harness.html , "Connect a new car stereo to the factory wiring in select 1987-up Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Subaru, and Geo vehicles". They also have the wiring diagram for the harness. We no longer have our 2005 Toyota Highlander and this radio was not needed in our new vehicle. This was a fairly simple install for me. The trickiest part was running the cables for the rear-light check and rear camera/cable (not included, but highly recommended).If you purchase a rear camera, I would recommend buying one with free returns and before running the cable, test the camera for picture quality at night and day. There are a lot of rear-cameras for sale that are not that great. If you are not sure if you can install this car radio, I would recommend consulting with a professional radio installer. This car radio and wiring harness were purchased from Crutchfield. They have documentation on their site. Please check the pictures for more details. Used but in great condition! We only used this car radio for about a year and a half. No dents, scratches, or cracks! We live in a smoke-free household (and car). As with most items on eBay, the items are being sold as is.
