Almost certainly a simple re-use of the late 18th century 1799 plate, with the title amended to remove 1799 and include 1802 by the engraver. Early 19th century engraved map. Nice early American cartographic engraving, among just a handful of maps of this region produced in the country prior to 1802. Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, some old staining across the top, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Original fold lines as issued. Sheet measures c. 7" H x 9" W.
