Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Souvenir "pan" from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition at San Francisco. Displays the PPIE Official Seal design. One of a set of 12 different designs produced by the Pan-Pacific Souvenir Company of the City. These were officially licensed by the Exposition Company itself and sold on-site. This example retains the small round sticker on the back listing the designs available, which I have found to be scarce. Some minor marks and wear due to age however the Copper plating is intact; a small spot of verdigris on the interior at 8:00. All were antiqued to some degree by applying a chemical finish, and vary from bright to darker, such as this example, depending upon the applied finish. The concept for these was borrowed from similar "frying pan" souvenirs produced for the 1901 Pan-American Expo at Buffalo, a natural concept originating from the word "pan" in the event name. Made by Whitehead & Hoag, their name is visible on most specimens on the Reverse at the top of the "neck". Please Note: We require payment within four days of purchase, unless you contact us for other arrangements in advance of purchase. Items not paid for within 4 days will have an automatic unpaid item case opened - please do not make a purchase unless you intend to honor your commitment. If you have any questions, please email. Please note our hours below and if needed contact us at least 24 hours before close of listing. Buy or Bid with confidence: we have a heritage to 1937, and loads of good eBay Feedback, where I have been selling since 1997. Good Luck & Good Hunting! Tipsico Coin, Mon.- Fri. 10 AM - 4 PM MST.
