Description: Item details Quantity: 1 piecesTotal weight: 307 grams Description Soviet lens Mir-1 automatic 2.8/37mm, mount Kiev-Automat, made in USSR. ---------------------------------- Mir is a family of wide-angle photographic lenses developed and manufactured in the USSR. They are coated anastigmats containing from 5 to 9 lenses. Most Mir lenses have a retrofocus design: their focal length is shorter than the rear segment, which allows them to be used as interchangeable lenses for single-lens reflex cameras with a movable mirror. The most famous and most popular of the lenses in the family. It was produced in various modifications for several decades and was in constant demand. The optical scheme was designed in 1954 by the GOI team of authors led by David Volosov based on the Zeiss Flektogon 2.8/37 lens developed in the GDR by Harry Zoellner. Due to successful design solutions, it was possible to reduce higher-order aberrations by using cheaper grades of optical glass instead of the heavy crowns of the German prototype. The lens of the first Mir-1 series won the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition Expo 58 in Brussels in 1958. The Mir-1 was the first Soviet retrofocus wide-angle lens, made on the principle of an "inverted telephoto lens" and suitable for use with single-lens reflex cameras. It was intended primarily as a replacement for the then-new Zenit cameras and remained the widest-angle lens for reflex cameras in the USSR for several years. Versions for television cameras and other equipment were also produced. The Mir-1 Automatic with a bayonet mount for Kiev-10 and Kiev-15 reflex cameras; The Mir optical design was later used in a wide variety of lenses, which had one main feature in common: they were all wide-angle and intended for single-lens reflex cameras. Over several decades, more than 20 lenses of the Mir family have been developed. MIR-1 2.8/37 AUTOMATIC is made entirely of metal and glass. The focusing ring is also metal. During focusing, the front lens does not rotate, and the lens barrel extends. The focusing ring rotates 270 degrees. The focus ring moves smoothly. Focusing is performed by moving the entire lens block. The minimum focusing distance is only 24 cm, which is very, very pleasing :). At the same time, the maximum macro shooting scale can be 1:4.3. ---------------------------------- The buyer will receive exactly the same item as in the photo. Come visit us again.
