This variation of the badge features a screw back attachment. The badge is in GREAT overall condition. The obverse is perfect; the enamel shows a beautiful luster and is completely free of chips, flaking or any other noticeable wear. The screw post has been reduced for convenience as was customary, but its remaining length of nearly 3 mm in just enough to accommodate a screw plate. The maker-marked screw plate is of the period and fits perfectly, although it is not original to this particular badge. Please note, penny in our photo is for size reference.
