Description: Badge of a Member of a Komsomol (Lenin Communist Youth League) Searchlight Unit, 1982-91 issue, early 1980s manufacture.This is GUARANTEED ORIGINAL piece from the Soviet era, not a later issue, souvenir or replica!The badge is made in aluminum, paint and lacquer; measures about 20 mm in height. Its artwork includes VLKSM membership badge and a searchlight shining down (apparently to uncover all kinds of vice). There is early style Pobeda Factory trademark on the reverse which dates the badge to the early 80s. The badge is in Excellent condition, with nicely preserved paint and finish. The pin attachment is intact and fully functional. The Komsomol Searchlight committees were created to fight misconduct at workplaces and schools, from lack of political zeal to slackness in completing labor assignments.
