During this period, he created paintings of flowers and birds and paintings of beautiful women. Both ``Hori Kirika Iris'' and ``Yanaka Tennoji'' were joint works, with the scenery drawn by Shotei Takahashi and the flowers and birds drawn by Sozan.・Although there are many details about Sozan that are unclear, he is an influential painter who was active at the Watanabe Woodblock Print Shop along with Shotei and others from the early stages, including some collaborative works with Shotei Takahashi.・What is noteworthy is his delicate, sophisticated, high quality, and precise drawing ability.・Although Sozan is not yet well-known in Japan, he is popular among enthusiasts, and has been particularly popular with overseas Shin-hanga collectors for a long time.
