Spanky's Greatest Hits 1969 Mercury SR-61227 PRC Richmond A-11/B-13 Pressing VG+

Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Spanky and Our Gand titled "Spanky's Greatest Hits, originally released in 1969 by Mercury Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers A-11/B-13, along with "PR", indicating that earlier stampers were used to make this first edition at Philips Recording Company's pressing plant, located in Richmond, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering which produces great sounding recordings, sought after by collectors and music lovers. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and put it into an archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleve with this listing. The cover is graded as Good Plus because of ring wear, corner blunts, two stickers on the upper right hand corner and a six inch seam split starting at the upper right hand corner. The spine has a little color loss from these rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent with superficial sleeve marks. I'm play grading it between Excellent (Side One) and Very Good (Side Two) because of surface noise, more noticeable during the quietest passages, along with occasional ticking. Overall its graded as Very Good Plus with none of the defects over-powering the music or vocals. This has been played on Audiophile equipment since I owned it and still has a lot of life left to it.
