Included is an original print by Rolf Knie. This print was done on a piece of the canvas used for the actual Cirque tent; it is numbered and signed by the artist: Rolf Knie 422/2000. Black leather hardcover binding with photograph on the front cover and gold lettering on the spine. No dust jacket. [ text in French, book measures 11.75 x 10 inches, 144 pages full color photographs and b/w.BOOK CONDITION: Book is in excellent vintage condition, with only a very slight scuff to the bottom corner tip of the spine, otherwise no marks, rips, or tears. Pages are in tight crisp clean like new condition. PLEASE NOTE: The felt marker signature by Rolf Knie on the vinyl canvas print is very faint (felt marker signatures are known to fade over time, especially on this vinyl material), otherwise the limited edition print is in excellent condition.Rolf Knie The painter and artist Rolf Knie belongs to the sixth generation of the famous Swiss circus dynasty. Since 1968 he has appeared as an artist and dancer, and later as a clown. In addition, he formed himself autodidactically as a painter and graphic artist. In 1984, he finally separated from his family's arena and from then on worked as a freelance artist, until 1989 also as a stage and television actor. In the 1980's he became acquainted with paintings that exhibited circus motifs in a partly abstract, partly representational pictorial language, and in which tent screen fragments served as image carriers.___________________________________________ATTENTION!
