Description: WONDERFUL ANTIQUE FRENCH BISQUE FIGURINES - A Shepherdess with lamb at her side is holding a gilded horn - presumably to call them back in from the field. In the other hand she holds some leafy greenery. She wears a provincial outfit with hat that sports a purple band. Some gilded details. Unmarked on bottom. About 10.75" tall. - A Gardener (I say that because he is in possession of a shovel) is wearing fancy detailed trousers in peach and sports a green frock coat with purple lapels and a blue neck scarf. Grey hat with purple band. He is accompanied by a wonderfully painted dog companion. He measures about 11.5" tall. Both of these pieces were professionally restored and I am hard pressed to detect what was done. Though with my blacklight I can see a neck repair on each - the man's coat has been touched up - an ear on the lamb was repaired - repairs to the Shepherdess's hand and horn. The Gardener's right sleeve exhibits a tiny factory kiln split that has been painted over - arm was never broken.
