Description: Up for sale is a splendid vintage Stanley No. 5C type 18 corrugated jack plane in the original box. This type was only manufactured between 1946 and 1947 and is characterized by the dark stain on the handles, diagonal knurling on the depth adjustment nut, and a horizontal "STANLEY" stamp on the lateral adjustment lever. The plane is in excellent condition. The sole is smooth and flat. The japanning and original wood stain are 99% intact. The lever cap has some wear to the nickel plating between the Stanley trademark and the cap's leading edge. The cutter just needs to be sharpened. The box is in one piece, but there is some separation between panels. There is some writing on the box top. The photos are a critical part of the item description. Please review them carefully.
