Description: Spode CHELSEA GARDEN Rimmed Soup Bowl Copeland's China 8" Mustard Trim This china was purchased by my late grandmother shortly before her 1954 death, and remained in my late grandfather's home, unused. If Grandma used this bowl, it was seldom and not for long, as this pattern began production in 1952. It would always have been hand washed if used. Bowl is in nice shape, but has one small flaw on the underside: a small chip on the unglazed base, as shown in last photo. The flower pattern changed over the production years of this pattern, so this might be slightly different than yours if yours is closer to the 1988 discontinuation of the pattern. They should all coordinate nicely, though. The rim is fluted, which catches the light nicely. The flowers are bright and cheery. I have always loved this pattern! Soup bowl is 8 inches in diameter. The rim is about 1.25 inches wide. I also have other soup bowls listed, in groups of two, and other pieces of this pattern that I will be listing in the next couple of days.
