Description: 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Squale. This is a watch of historical significance, extremely rare and beautifully designed with perfect proportions. It is in new-like condition, has a Sellita movement. I bought it in 2022. It keeps perfect time. 1 of 150. Excellent condition, lightly worn. The case and bracelet are not perfect under a jeweler's magnifier. The back of the case scratches. Please look carefully at the pictures. This is Squale's, choice after sixty years of designing watches. Bezel action is silky smooth, the screw-down crown is perfectly intuitive and the shape of the case. It's difficult to describe the faux patina, only that the first picture actually captures the feel of the watch face and patina on the hands. The sepia indices and hands are a second read and integrate seamlessly into the retro design. Watch dial is anthracite a slightly warm tone black in the sunlight. This watch has historical significance within the early development of dive watches. 1959 -2019, anniversary celebrating the Squale business of making solely dive watches, which continues today. Charles Von Buren started his business as a watch case maker in 1946. Squale, 30 Atmos, 40mm diameter, 13mm thick or stack height, 22mm lug width, Sellita SW200 automatic movement with hacking, screw down crown, 2019. Commemorative certificate signed by Monique Von Buren (daughter of founder) and Andrea Maggi (current family member owner). Case and papers included. Brushed bracelet with polished center links, two leather watch bands, black/anthracite and blue.
