Description: St James The Greater apostle spoon. Measuring approximately 8"/205mm in length, the spoon has a magnificently cast finial of St James The Greater holding a bible and a pilgrim's staff. Showing signs of original gilding. The spiral shaft meets the fluted bowl with a rectangular sectioned cast figure. Made by Martin, Hall and Company in Sheffield c1880 this is an outstanding example of Victorian silver plate.
