Strong magnets. Item is in good used condition. The stainless steel is polished finish and the black resin plate is machine finish. Operates by use of magnets to create a sliding motion when pushed up or down and clicking sound as it reaches the edges of the trough. Has four channels with a single bearing ball in each one. This allows the slider to click up and down while staying centered in the tracks. Has two small trit slots that are revealed when the slider is in the up position. The slide plate is black resin and makes a unique clicking sound as it reaches the edges. Sure to annoy anyone around you :) Different displays may show colors differently. Ask for more photos prior to purchase. No returns Care of the bearings must be taken if the side plate is removed. Has some minor surface scratches and blemishes due to use or the manufacturer machine process or hand finishing. They are visible at certain angles.
