Description: Rare new find, in a scarce British fashion magazine, the first time we've seen this in 25 years of collecting! Stanley Kubrick is interviewed on-set, with photographs, on the set of Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. This is one of only two features sanctioned by Kubrick to publicise the movie. The journalists were invited to the set in Shepperton film studio in England. "I spend my money on buying the rights of books that I like" ...from the interview and set visit by Elaine Dundy. Peter Sellers and Kubrick are seen in the photographs taken in the incredible modern war room set by Ken Adam, who is mentioned as they walk up behind him. Published in a British fashion magazine in the 1960's - very rare and with low circulation. The photographs and interview with Kubrick were an exclusive. As the article says: "May be a genius" quoting Terry Southern who is on-set and interviewed about Kubrick. Also inside - Cars, fashion, lifestyle and the usual columns. The magazine is complete. We have never seen these in decades of film study! Only two interviews exist from this time by Kubrick. This is the only copy that we have seen in over two decades of searching! Condition - Very good. The top of the spine has some light wear but all pages secure and complete, see photographs of the actual magazine that you will receive. Post - Insurance & online tracking is included in shipping. We are happy to combine orders. Our ref - 240527_3363 1332
