Description: For sale today is the huge, out-of-print (oop), and rare DC Comics trade paperback (TPB)/graphic novel Starman Omnibus (Volume 1), by James Robinson and Tony Harris, published in 2012. It collects issues #0-16 of the series, and is 448 pages long. Collects Starman (1994-2001 2nd Series) #0-16. Written by James Robinson. Art by Tony Harris and Wade Von Grawbadger. Cover by Tony Harris. The first volume of the series collecting the classic super hero series of the 1990s is now available in trade paperback. In these stories from issues #0-16 of the hit series, Jack Knight - antiques collector and dealer - inherits the name and powers of his father's old Starman identity from his older brother, who has been assassinated. I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This copy is in good overall condition, with a solid spine and great overall inside pages (photo#12 example). It does have some clear signs of wear spread around its covers, although most of the flaws are lighter in severity and affecting the book's externals. **Photo4: -Upper spine corner: Light scuffing. Small ding where it meets front cover, causes a tiny tear/peel at the corner, and a small indent around the corner on the front cover itself.-Lower spine corner: Light scuffing. Small dings/indents at/around where it meets each cover, causes a tiny peel where it meets the back cover. **Photo#5: -Front cover top edge: Light ~1/2" scuff near its middle, another towards the outer corner, otherwise light levels of shelf-wear along the edge.-Outer corner: Light ~3/4" indent around corner. Tiny indent/scuff/bend at extreme corner, goes thru ~20 pages as an indent, and thru ~2/3 as a light bend. **Photo#6 (w/illumination):-Front cover bottom edge: ~2" patch of scuffing/light cover indenting starting at spine corner, shows as some tiny scuffs/indents on ~6 pages. Light shelf-scuffing along the rest of the edge.-Outer corner: ~1.5" horizontal indent around corner, shows as a small/light indent near the corner on ~8 pages. Tiny scuff/bend at extreme corner, shows as a light bend on ~1/5 pages. **Photo#7: -Back cover top edge: Light scuffing along the edge. Four adjacent ~1/2" diagonal cover indents/depressions starting at edge near its middle (photo#9 w/illumination), shows as light scuffing on ~2 pages.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend, goes thru ~1/6 pages as a light bend. **Photo#8:-Back cover bottom edge: Some light shelf-scuffing/wear along most of edge. Adjacent light ~3/4" diagonal cover indent/depression starting at edge towards the spine corner (photo#10 w/illumination), shows lightly on ~25 pages. Another smaller/lighter one closer to corner.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend, goes thru ~10 pages lightly. **Additionally: Front cover possesses a light ~1" horizontal indent near the bottom edge, as well as light ~1/2" and small ones starting adjacent the page edge near the bottom outer corner. Light ~1" diagonal one starting adjacent the bottom edge towards the spine corner, with 2 nearby small dings/scratches. ~8 more small dings/depressions/indents spread around the cover, a few show lightly on ~3 pages. Back cover has a light ~3" vertical indent/depression starting adjacent the bottom edge near the spine corner, shows as a light ~1" indent on ~5 pages. Another crossing ~3" diagonal one that starts adjacent the spine edge towards the lower corner. Light ~1/2" crease/depression near cover's lower half, shows as a small/light indent on ~1/4 pages, growing lighter as is travels. ~1"x~1" patch of sticker residue near cover's bottom edge (photo#11 w/illumination, might come off with the correct substance; I prefer not to mess with them). Some light/mostly small scratches/streaks/scuffs/indents spread around the cover. Book's top and bottom outer quadrants, and the lower spine quadrant, all have light flexes/bends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit.
